Celebrations of the Eighteenth Anniversary of Mother Mary's Apparition - Guntakal:

The parish family of Guntakal celebrated with great devotion and reverence the Eighteenth anniversary of our Blessed Mother's Apparition. This was a sensational event and news in 1999 which could draw a great sea of people to the church premises of Guntakal. The statue of Mother Mary in the grotto gloriously opened her eyes in the presence of Hindu Boys and turned her head towards the existing church on 4th August, 1999. As a sign of preparation, Tridum was conducted from 1-3 August, 2016. On 4th August, the Pastoral Clergy of the diocese gathered in Arogya Matha Shrine, Guntakal for the Recollection. At the invitation of our Bishop Anthony Poola, the Bishop-elect of Guntur Rev. Msgr. Bhagyayya visited the Shrine, talked to the priests, blessed and prayed for people. He also gave Recollection Talk to the Clergy. After the Holy Rosary at 6.00 P.M, the Festal Mass was offered by our Bishop and an inspiring homily was preached by Rev. Msgr. Bhagyayya. During the Holy Mass, our Bishop conferred the Sacrament of Confirmation to 75 members. Gutnakal Parish extends its heart-felt thanks to the Bishop & Monsignor, Priests and the religious for their time and cordial presence on this occasion.
