Caring for Earth – our Common Home:
Sep. 07, 2016
Keeping in mind the need of the
hour i.e. protection of our mother nature, KDSSS had organized a programme on
nature, based on the invitation of our
holy father in Royal High School at
Jupadu Banglow by planting of
saplings by the children. We could
create some awareness in the
children about the urgent need to
save, care our common home
mother earth to keep it green. In the
programme the village Surpanch
Mrs. Ranemma spoke about the
importance of growing trees and its further outcome. MPP. Mrs. Manjula spoke about
the role of children in caring for plants. KDSSS staff explained to the children the
love and care that they have to have for bringing up the saplings and even after they
leave the school next generation should think of them, because of the trees that are
taken care by them. The children of the school had shown great interest in planting
and caring for the plants. The saplings were given to take care by 3 students for
each plant. The management of the school showed much interest in caring and
planting saplings in school premises, we appreciated their initiative to look after the
plants. They were grateful to KDSSS for proving the saplings to them. They assured
to us that they will take care of the plants and protect the trees from all destruction
and make them grow into big trees. - (Fr. K.D Joseph, KDSSS Director)
