Faith Formation programme at Chukkalur, Tadipatri Parish:

The pastoral centre team conducted a three days faith formation programme in view of the feast of the infant Jesus, in chukkalur village at tadipatri parish. The pastoral centre team organized systematically and prayerful faith formation programme. The faith formation began with devotion to our Mother Mary by reciting the rosary. After the recitation of the rosary, the animators conducted praise and worship by making people to sing and praise the lord through ujjivageethalu from Jeevadhara. The pastoral centre team also taught the faithful about the importance of the BCC prayer and the success stories of BCC programme. They explained to them the importance of the BCC prayer in the family life. Praramba Prarthana (opening prayer): that is inviting the lord into the midst of the people who have gathered together by prayer and hymn. Parisuddha Grandha Patanam (Scripture reading): that is reading the passage from the bible. Parisuddha Grandha Pariseelana (Scrutinization) : reciting the word of god that touched the heart to a person three times in a loud voice. Mouna dhyanam: (Meditation): Meditating upon the word of god in silence. Prabuvemannaru: (The message of the Lord): what message did the lord give to each person? Sharing the experience of the lord. Charcha: (Discussion): discussion on the problems, the draw backs and the action plan for the future development of community. Prardhana (Final Prayer): asking the help of the lord to go forward and promising to walk in his footsteps and conclude by reciting our father. On the last day the infant Jesus procession was held in the streets of chukkalur. The pastoral centre team sang the songs and made the faithful to participate in the procession with reverence and fear. Fr. Director shared short reflection on infant Jesus. He explained about the history of the infant Jesus statue and how the devotion to infant Jesus was spread. Who was the first person who started this devotion and miracle stories of infant Jesus? The people were spiritually nourished and enlightened. The feast came to an end with delicious meal for all the faithful who were present for the festival. Fr. Joseph, the parish priest thanked the pastoral team for organizing a prayerful faith formation programme in chukkalur
