Blessing and Inauguration of Carmel Matha Church at Gumparmandinne:

It was a blissful day for all the people of Gumparmandinne village as their prayers are being answered by the Lord God in due time. They have been praying for years together for the new Chapel in their village as the old Chapel was under ruined condition. The proposal and the project for the new chapel was taken to the notice of His Excellency Most Rev. Anthony Poola D.D., Bishop of Kurnool. As it was the dire need of the people, Bishop accepted the proposal and granted the required amount 16 KURNOOL VANI - JUNE 2018 from the Diocese and thus today we have this beautiful chapel for the people of God. It was opened and blessed by our Bishop on 25th May 2018 in the presence of priests, religious and the faithful. Village elders expressed their deep sentiments of gratitude to the Bishop by honoring him with Shawl and garland. Bishop appreciated the faithful, CMC Sisters and the Parish priest for their contributions and tireless efforts in bringing this project to come true. The chapel is dedicated to Carmel Matha for two reasons; the first one is, the presence of CMC sisters in the parish is 25 years and they completed Silver jubilee so in gratitude to them for their services to the locality this chapel is dedicated to their heavenly patroness 'Carmel Matha'. The second reason is, in and around this area there is lot of devotion to Phirangipuram Carmel Matha so for the sake of convenience this chapel is dedicated to Carmel Matha
