There are many schools run by the Diocese. But let us know about SJRS and St. Anthony's Orphanage
We shall know in details about these two schools:
St. John’s Residential School at Anantapur District :
The school was founded by the Educationalist and analist of the society Late Gorantla Johanness in concerted effort with the clergy of the Diocese on 19th March, 2003, to provide oppurtunities for the education of excellence to the socially, economically most disadvantaged selected boys and girls; with intellectual potentialities, to promote Equality Fraternity and Liberty , to show lasting solution to the persisting problems of the discriminated and disadvantaged, and to forster intergral human development as envisaged by Jesus Christ and sustained by men and women of goodwill.
The institution has a school and Boardings both for boys and girls, play ground and field to work.
One of the priest of the diocese looks after the needs of the School and the children. The school is supported by the teaching staff and non teaching staff. DSS and St. Joseph’s Sisters of Charity, CMC congregatioins are running the school and helping the children in food and in boarding. We thank the bishop and the donors for their support to the schools.

St. Antony’s Orphanage and School at Adoni
BRIEF HISTORY OF ST.ANTHONY’S ORPHANAGE AND THE SCHOOL IN ADONI
St.Anthony’s Orphanage was first started at Ramadurgam in 1936 by Rev.Fr.Bede Worham. He started this boarding in order to educate children of newly converted parents. Most of the newly converted villages were in and around Adoni. Priests’ missionary work was moving away from Ramadurgam to Adoni. On 1st January 1939 St.Anthony’s Boarding was shifted from Ramadurgam to Adoni. First the boarding and the school were run in a rented house in Sait bungalow near Rayalseema Mill and later it was shifted to Sanjeevappa building near DSP bungalow. In 1940 the present land was bought and Fr.Bede and his children moved to the present building. He along with his team of priests and brothers developed the boarding to great extent. In 1972 the same school was upgraded as high school. From 1972- 1988 Rev.Fr.Rabiller MEP priest France developed the school and constructed a big building for the residence of the Orphanage boys. It was he who got sponsors from France and Germany to education the poor children in the orphanage. Because of his dedicated service in the boarding and in the parish, hundreds of children in the Adoni region have been educated and come up in life. In order to give better education facilities to the girls in the region in 1996 the hostel for the girls was built where in nearly 150 could be accommodated. Now there are 150 boys and 120 girls.
We still ask you to help these marginalized and rejected and orphan children studying in our boardings and schools. Have loving heart and generous spirit towards these boys and girls and reach out to help as many children as possible. You can contact these email links if you would like to help;
