History
Heralds of Good News is a Clerical Missionary Society of Apostolic life of pontifical right in the Catholic church. It was founded by Rev. Dr. Jose Kaimlett on 14th October 1984, in the Diocese of Eluru. The specific aim of the society is the training and supply of saintly, dedicated and hard-working missionaries wherever there is need, especially due to the shortage of local vocations. The society has Mary Queen of Apostles and St. Joseph the worker as the Patrons. The Society became of the Pontifical Right on May 5th 1999.
The society has made a rapid progress both in the matter of personnel and at the level of activities. From a mere four priests and 2 brothers in 19 years ago, it has grown to have 79 permanently incorporated members. Our missionaries are working in India in the dioceses of Bellari, Berhampur, Bongaigon, Chennai, Mylapore, Eluru, Gauhati,Guntur, Gorakhpur, Hyderabad, Khammam, Kohima, Kumbakonam, Kurnool, Nalgonda, Pala, Shillong, Srikakulam, Tellichery, Tuticorin, Vijayawada, Vijayapuram. The missionaries have been sent to different countries like Italy; (Albenga, Ancona, Frascati, Aryanalrpina – Lacedonia, Pesaro, Rieti, Potenza, Saqvona, Urbino), Africa: South Africa (Cape Town), Trasania (Mahenge, Iringa), Kenya (Meru) papua New Guinea (Daru-Kiunga, Mendi, Vanimo), U.S.A. (forth Worth, Lake Charles, Lexington, Wheelling Charleston, San Angelo), Guatemala (Vera paz), Uganda (Tororo)
