History
The Order of the Brothers of the Most Blessed Virgin Mary of Mount Carmel was founded on Mount Carmel in Palestine in the beginning of the 13th Century. When Holy Land fallen in to the hands of Muslims, hermits were forced to spread to Europe and there it flourished in course of time. Now it is present in Asia, Africa, Europe, North and South America and Australia. In 1998 Bishop Johannes invited the Order of Carmelites and Kosigi and Sunkeswari was entrusted to their care.
