Centenary Jubilee Celebrations of Pedda Kottala Parish:

Pedda Kottala Parish, one of the age old parishes created history in the Diocese of Kurnool as it completes its centenary of establishment of the parish (1916-2016). In view of celebrating it for one long year, the opening of the centennial celebration had on 3rd January, 2015 by His Excellency Bishop Bala Udumala, the bishop of Warangal. After an year, the closing centennial celebration began on 14th January evening with a flag hoisting and Holy Mass by Rev Fr B. Marreddy, the dean of Nandyal. On 15th January, the parishioners had games and dance competitions. In the evening there was procession, offering of candles and Holy Mass. On 16th of January, His Excellency Bishop Poola Anthony had presided over the celebration with Thanksgiving Holy Mass for God's Grace of 100 years along with many former parish priests, native priests and religious, many priests of the diocese and other dioceses, various religious congregation representatives and massive faithful had colored the day. It has come to an end with Musical and Mimicry Night. It was well celebrated under the able guidance of Rev. Fr. Y. Joji Reddy, the parish priest with the co-operation of the parishioners.
