Karunya Kshethram (Stations of the Cross) was constructed by the benevolent contributions of Faithful of Polur. It was a long time dream of the Faithful of Polur to have them in their Parish Church premises. As Fr. Pasala Lahastraya was appointed as Parish Priest of Polur, faithful of Polur were much enthusiastic to realize their dream. After making sufficient observation Parish Priest came forward to realize the dream. Before inauguration, Procession was held with Divine Mercy of Jesus from Bus-Stop of Polur through the streets of the village by playing Band-set and Drums. Most of the faithful of parish participated in the Procession by singing Christian devotional Hymns and Praying the Rosary. It was cherishing and charming moment and enriching the spirit of Prayer. Karunya Kshethram (Stations of the Cross) was inaugurated on 09th February, 2016 by His Lordship, Most Rev. Dr. Anthony Poola, Bishop of Kurnool amidst of Priests, religious and faithful. His Excellency prayed over the Stations of the Cross and solemnly blessed them. His Lordship unveiled the curtain of the Inscription of the Karunya Kshethram, along with donors cut the ribbon of each Station and broke the coconut according to local tradition. His Lordship celebrated the Inaugural Holy Mass along with the Priests. During Homily bishop preached that People should live with Peace and Harmony in the forthcoming Lent and further. Bishop thanked the almighty God for blessing the Polur Parish with Karunya Kshethram and for leading the Faithful of Polur
