On the request of our Bishop, Mr. Benjamin, an educationalist has conducted a seminar for the teachers of SJRS. First, he addressed the students and appreciated the good efforts of Bishop Anthony Poola for the education of poor Catholic children. "Though I get very many invitations to conduct programs and they pay me very highly, I consider the invitation by Bishop Anthony Poola as an honor," he explained. This will be my little humble contribution to his great work, he added. After his interaction with the students, he said that SJRS students are truly bright and intelligent! He instructed the staff on the techniques of communication. He exhorted them to get full sentences from the students, instead of one - word answers. "By learning the names of five students every day, you can learn all their names in a short period," he explained. Children like to be called by their names, he pointed out. He encouraged the staff to give the girls and boys random numbers. Better chances of wider questioning are possible, if you call out their number to answer a question, he demonstrated. He showed the teachers the art of neat handwriting. The students enjoyed the exercise and started writing beautifully.
